October 3, 2008, Newsletter Issue #82: Make Your Own Greeting Card Box

1

Tip of the Week

Making your own greeting card storage box can be a simple, fun project that can include your whole family. This project is so simple you can even allow your kids to create their own greeting card storage boxes for their yearly Valentine's Day cards and more!

Supplies You'll Need:

A Shoe BoxGlueScissorsOld Greeting CardsFirst, find some greeting cards that you don't mind cutting up. Once you have those, cut them in half along the fold. Use the front, picture side of the greeting card.

Next, begin to glue your pre-cut greeting cards onto your shoe box until you have covered it completely. You'll want to cover the shoe box lid with greeting cards, as well. Cut strips out of one greeting card to go around the sides of the shoe box lid so that it matches all the way around.

When you've finished covering your shoe box and the lid completely, let them dry overnight. Once the box has finished drying you'll have a beautiful greeting card storage box to place all your greeting cards in!
