AmericanGreetings.com Tip: E-cards are great, aren't they?  Just the thought of being able to log onto your home computer and send a thoughtful surprise to a friend or family member is wonderful.  You know what else makes them so great?  The tools that often come with e-cards and the site from which you send the e-card.

One great benefit is that you can use a tool called "Reminders."  Not all sites that offer free electronic cards have this tool, but sites like AmericanGreetings.com do.  This tool is such a great benefit for e-card customers to utilize.  You must be a member to use the tool, but the membership fee is well worth it to ensure that you never forget a birthday or an important date.

The reminder tool is essentially a calendar that is month by month, in which you input important information for each month.  It is basically an organizer and a reminder tool altogether, because you don't have to just input important dates, you can input your schedule also. Once you have recorded all of these important dates, you can print the calendar on your printer, or you can have the reminders delivered directly to your desktop.

Another cool part of the reminder tool is that you can not only have the reminders sent directly to your desktop, you can also send them directly to someone else you may want to notify of an upcoming event.  Simply put in that person's email address and let the website take care of delivering the message via email.  It is as simple as that.
