December 12, 2008, Newsletter Issue #92: Greeting Cards: A Link Between Family & Friends

Tip of the Week

For many of us, traditions become ingrained from a very early age. This also includes the tradition of sending greeting cards for holidays like Christmas and special occasions.

Whether it's the ritual of sending the same greeting card back and forth between two friends over many years or a certain kind of card each year for many years, these traditions strengthen our relationships with friends and family, providing cherished memories that last a lifetime.

Keeping old greeting cards and sharing them with family, like a greeting card basket at Christmas time, can be a great way to reflect on the continuity of family and bring families closer together as they look through a tangible presence of how so many things change, yet so many stay the same.
