Have you ever seen a puppy talk or a frazzled looking cat speak while telling a story written in your own words? If so, then you have probably run across this in the form of a talking e-card. A talking e-card is actually a pretty fun way to send a friend an electronic greeting card because you can personalize it by writing your own words that the e-card character will actually speak.

Many electronic greeting cards sites, such as AmericanGreetings.com, offer talking e-cards. When you log onto a site, such as the one mentioned above, you can choose Talking E-Cards from the menu of choices. Once you have done this, you pick the card you want to send, and then click on the picture of the card to be taken to the page that will direct you on how to add your own text for the character to speak.

You will more than likely be asked to type what you would like your character to say, and this is when you can type your own personal message to your recipient. Make it as personal, as funny, as sentimental as you wish, the character will speak whatever you have written. It is pretty neat! You can even pick the type of voice you want the character to speak; from a valley girl voice to a male sportscaster, you have several fun choices.

Talking e-cards are a really exciting alternative to the traditional e-card. Send one to someone today and wait for him or her to gush over it!
